उक्त बात प्रदेश के पर्यटन, धर्मस्व, संस्कृति, लोक निर्माण, सिंचाई, पंचायतीराज, ग्रामीण निर्माण एवं जलागम मंत्री सतपाल महाराज ने उत्तराखंड पर्यटन और मांगल डॉट कॉम द्वारा एक स्थानीय होटल में आयोजित मंत्रमुग्ध शादियाँ थीम पर आधारित वेडिंग कांक्लेव के आयोजन अवसर पर पर कहीं। उन्होंने कहा कि राज्य सरकार उत्तराखंड में पर्यटकों को आकर्षित करने के लिए विभिन्न पर्यटन गतिविधियों के साथ-साथ प्रदेश को एक आदर्श विभाग गंतव्य के रूप में विकसित करने का लगातार प्रयास कर रही है।
पर्यटन मंत्री सतपाल महाराज ने कहा कि उत्तराखंड पर्यटन विभाग और मांगल डॉट कॉम द्वारा आयोजित यह वेडिंग कांक्लेव निश्चित रूप से प्रदेश को वेडिंग डेस्टिनेशन के रूप में उभारने के साथ-साथ देश के लोगों को यहां शादी के आयोजन करने के लिए प्रोत्साहित करेगा ऐसा उन्हें पूर्ण विश्वास है। उन्होंने कहा उत्तराखंड देवभूमि होने के साथ-साथ यहां का नैसर्गिक सौंदर्य, जलवायु, संस्कृति और आतिथ्य सत्कार ऐसे कई कारण हैं जो शादियों के लिए विशेष अवसर प्रदान करते हैं। विवाह के लिए यहां पर विश्व स्तरीय होटल, लग्जरी रिजॉर्ट, होमस्टे और कई ऐतिहासिक स्थल हैं जहां पर आप और आपके मेहमानों के लिए आरामदायक और लग्जरी सुविधाएं हैं।इसलिए उत्तराखंड वेडिंग डेस्टिनेशन के रूप में सबसे उचित एवं सुरक्षित स्थान है। इतना ही नहीं इस प्रकार के आयोजनों से एक और जहां प्रदेश में पर्यटकों की आवाजाही बढ़ेगी वहीं दूसरी और स्थानीय लोगों को रोजगार के अवसर भी मिलेंगे।
मंत्री महाराज ने कहा कि प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी के आह्वान और मुख्यमंत्री पुष्कर सिंह धामी के प्रयासों के बाद सरकार द्वारा उत्तराखंड में वेडिंग डेस्टिनेशन हेतु अभूतपूर्व प्रयास किया जा रहे हैं। हमारे प्रदेश में त्रियुगी नारायण जैसा पौराणिक वेडिंग डेस्टिनेशन है जहां पर भगवान शिव-पार्वती का विवाह सम्पन्न हुआ था। इसके अलावा जिम कॉर्बेट, नैनीताल, कौसनी, भीमताल, मसूरी, देहरादून, ऋषिकेश और लैंसडाउन आदि अनेक वेडिंग डेस्टिनेशन भी हैं।
कैबिनेट मंत्री महाराज ने कहा कि उत्तराखंड में वेडिंग डेस्टिनेशन एक खूबसूरत सपने के सच होने जैसा है। उत्तराखंड में आयोजित इन्वेस्टर्स सबमिट के दौरान प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने देश के लोगों को ‘वेटिंग इंडिया’ मुहिम पर चलने की बात कहते हुए देवभूमि उत्तराखंड को एक बड़ा वेडिंग डेस्टिनेशन बताते हुए यहां शादी के आयोजन करने का भी आह्वान किया।
